Busy Weekend

Our weekend started off tailgating before Tanner's football game against my alma mater, Desert Mountain. We had quite the spread, the weather was perfect and the company was even better. The only thing that could have made it better is if Jacey, Thomas and little nipper were there too.
Jake wanted a picture of the action...this is our action shot (not posed at all!!!)
Jake was handling the grill (hotdogs, cheeseburgers and veggieburgers)
I can't quite remember why Parker was doing this, but wow he looks studly dressed in his white, ready to join the Crazies (student cheering section)
I think Paige is really unhappy to be holding Porter, she can't stand him
Lindsay was kind enough to drive all the way to Glendale to pick up some On the Border chips and salsa. We have been having withdrawals ever since the location at Desert Ridge closed. Here she is enjoying the fruits of her labor! Thanks Linds, the only problem is that we are going to want you to do that every week...now that we have had a taste of the glory!
Have you ever seen such beautifully sliced tomatoes and onions...yes I know, probably only by professionals, but our very own Kody Thurston sliced these babies right up. He wasn't proud of them at all...I actually had to pay him big money to even take this picture!
Jake, too, is enjoying the fruits of his labor
Paige doing her best Lion King impression...Parker standing by for safety (after this shot Wendy asked Paige not to do that in the parking lot....Thanks for looking out for Porter, when all his mom saw was a photo-op, Grandma!)
Parker is the crazie...Porter is the cutie ;)
Wendy, Kody, Paige, Porter and Lindsay
(If you couldn't tell...Wendy and Lindsay are doing their best "Heisman" pose)

Porter takes after his Daddy and is easily distracted by Dr. Pepper. We had to remove it from his sight to get a better family pic.
Porter was definitely the MVP of our tailgating party!
But Tanner was our MVP during the game! The Pioneers won their Homecoming game, 27-17. Tanner even recovered a fumble in the end-zone for a touchdown! Woot woot!

We then continued our busy weekend by having a garage sale Saturday morning. Unfortunately, my camera battery died so we didn't get many pictures.
Porter trying to stay cool in the shade with Mom. He was quite the salesman!
Here are the other garage sale participants: Wendy, Karen and Donna
(Donna didn't want Jake to take a picture so he told a small fib and said he wasn't taking a picture of her...)
Donna definitely got the award for the neatest looking tables! (which Jake continually tried to mess up) It was a long morning, but fun, and we came away with some fun memories and a little extra cash! We promptly drove all of our leftovers to Goodwill. (Sorry DI, you're just too far away)

Our weekend ended with some wonderful sessions of Stake Conference. (no pictures to document this, I thought people might look at me weird)

How was your weekend?

That tailgate party was the place to be! Everyone all decked out in their blue & white. Even Porters socks.
Hooray for garage sales and Donna with her spunky personality.
Thanks for getting yummy treats after Stake Conf.
