Boys Weekend...No Video Games For a Whole Weekend!

The Girls from the Thurston home spent the weekend in Provo with Jacey doing the wedding prep thing. I kept up on their comings and goings with an occasional cell call. No doubt, they had a ball. Wendy quarterbacked the events and made sure the announcements/invitations were purchased as well as the lovely wedding dress. Paige told me Jacey only tried on 3 dresses. "The third one was just right", she declared. I think Paige had more fun than anyone. They arrived home safe and sound Sunday evening.

While the girls were away the boys...did...a whole lot of nothing! No video games, fortunately. Tanner and Parker completed their daily chore lists. Tanner's HS football team won a hair-raising-heart-stopping game Friday night. The final score - Pinnacle 13 Marcos 11. We blocked a field goal attempt with 23 sec. on the clock. Whew... Marcos was rated 2 in the state. Kody was the game announcer and total embarrassed himself with mispronunciations galore. Parker's soccer team lost a nastily fought match 0 to 1. He said he knew that his team was better anyway! Parker was dragged kicking and screaming to a Stake Sports Night. He came home at the end and was on cloud nine. He had a blast claiming, "this was the best stake event I've been to". He and I spent the rest of the night watching college football while eating a small silo of popcorn!

We hope to see a blog entry from the party animals Jake and Brittney. They spent the weekend with cousin Andrew in Albuquerque NM. Who'll believe the stories?
